The bride and groom, circa 1800 Folded fan, the gouache-painted paper sheet of a lord receiving the visit of a young peasant couple presented to him by a page. Their gestures do not hide their feelings and their upcoming union. The reverse side in skin painted with three bouquets mixing roses and forget-me-nots. Fine ivory mount* pierced, carved and engraved with a hunter, his rifle on his shoulder, holding the remains of a rabbit. H.t. 25,5 cm-H.f. 16 cm (wear, restorations)
