Hunting and Fishing, ca. 1760 Folded fan, the skin sheet painted asymmetrically with two cartels. On the left, fishermen and washerwomen are challenged by a horseman. On the right, a port with merchants embarking goods. Ships anchor off shore waiting to leave. Large side ornaments mixing flowers and birds. Painted paper reverse of a ship in the distant mists. Mounting in ivory* cut, carved, engraved and painted in colors of loves and flowers enhanced with white mother-of-pearl spangles. H.t. 29,5 cm-H.f. 12 cm (restorations)
