Aeneas leaving Dido, ca. 1760 Folded fan, the skin sheet painted with gouache of five cartels among flowers, and trompe l'oeil lace interlacing. Pastorals surround a scene in the antique style with Dido turning his head away while Aeneas walks away to join his homeland. Reverse: bouquets of flowers and young couples dancing. White mother-of-pearl mount cut, pierced, engraved, burgundy, silvered and gilded. H.t. 27 cm-H.f. 11,8 cm (wears, restorations, small accident)
