The little pilferer, circa 1750 Folded fan, the leaf made of skin, lined with paper and painted with gouache. On either side of a pastoral, with shepherds playing music and washerwomen, views are illustrated with scenes of daily life. To the left, a child grabs sweets from a baker's stall, while a clog maker works and children play marbles. On the right, on a bridge, perhaps in Paris, a grinder sharpens a knife. Shepherds in a country setting on the reverse. Ivory mount* cut and pierced with three painted cartels of shells, fish, rabbits and birds. H.t. 29,5 cm-H.f. 14,1 cm (cuts, wear, restorations)
