The Harvesters, ca. 1740-1750 Folded fan, the leaf in skin, mounted in English, and painted with gouache on a cream background. A woman is approaching peasants busy reaping wheat. Near them, others are boiling the lunch pot. Reverse side illustrated with a peasant beating the wheat with a flail. White mother-of-pearl mounting pierced, engraved and gilded with loves on a radiant background, surrounded by flowers and trophy. H.t. 30,9 cm - H.f. 15,6 cm (restorations, slight lack)
