Moses Saved from the Waters, ca. 1760 Folded fan, the gouache-painted skin sheet of Pharaoh's daughter discovering Moses as a child, in a basket floating on the Nile. His maids accompany him, while his chariot awaits him on the left. Border with feathers and shells effect. Reverse side painted with a couple in a riverside landscape. Cut ivory* mount, engraved and enhanced with mother-of-pearl with repeated decoration of loves and flowers. Bouquets of pink flowers on the reverse. H.t. 26,3 cm-H.f. 11,6 cm (good condition)
