La belle cantatrice, circa 1730 Folded fan, the double sheet in painted skin of a couple in a garden. She is holding a fan in one hand and offering the second to the kisses of her lover. The composition is borrowed from the "Recueil des Modes" of Hérisset, republished by Crépy, a print merchant in the rue Saint-Jacques, in 1730. Reverse painted with a rose. Bone mount, the throat painted with a figure with a parasol among vases evoking Chinese porcelain. Decorated with mother-of-pearl plates on the plumes. H.t. 29,3 cm-H.f. 18 cm (wear, restorations)
