Cranes, Japan, circa 1880 Broken ivory fan*, "Zoge-Ogi", decorated in "hiramaki-e" and "takamaki-e", with cranes feeding among bamboo and blossoming trees, cherry trees or magnolias. The plumes with lacquer decoration and flowers inlaid with hard stones. Engraved metal clasp, pink passementerie tassel and "ojimé H.t. 29,5 cm (good condition, small lacks) Read N. J.
