Red, China, ca. 1850 Folded fan, the double sheet of gouache-painted paper of a family in the garden of their pavilion being visited by a woman riding a white steed. The twelve figures wear silk clothing and ivory* heads in relief. On the reverse side, meeting around a red table in a garden. Red-tinted ivory* frame, cut, carved and engraved with merchants in their daily activities. H.t. 26,8 cm-H.f. 14,9 cm (wear and restoration)
