Blue marks with two interlaced L's, date letters gg for 1784, painter's marks for Tandart, l'Ainé and gilder's marks for Buteux, fils ainé
A polychrome and gold decoration called "à frise riche", the upper part composed of a large frieze with two circular medallions formed by a row of pearls on a blue background with gold nets enclosing a pansy, standing out on a sowing of roses and barbs between a row of gold pearls and a garland of myrtle on a mauve background; the lower part with a row of pearls on a blue background, gold fillet on the edges, small chips, small scratches and minor wear

From the service Decoration Rich in various colours, paint and gold, delivered either for King Gustav III of Sweden on June 26, 1784, or for Queen Marie-Antoinette on August 26 of the same year.

Two deliveries comprising bottle buckets, and which could correspond to our models, are listed by David Peters in Sèvres plates and services of the 18th century .Little Berkhamsted, 1997, pp.707 and 721:
- the first one: 6 "bottle buckets", delivered to King Gustav III of Sweden on June 22, 1784.
- the second one: 6 "bottle buckets", delivered to Queen Marie-Antoinette on August 26, 1784.
