Venus and Mercury, ca. 1770-1780 Folded fan, the leaf made of skin, mounted in English style, and painted in grisaille of loves in medallions. In the center, the loves surround Venus and Mercury with his caduceus and petascus. Reverse side painted with a beehive, symbol of harmony. White mother-of-pearl frame, cut out, engraved and gilded with two women and a love. H.t. 28 cm-H.f. 13 cm (wear, accidents, missing parts, restorations)
