The Little Oblivion Merchant, ca. 1780-1790 Folded fan, the painted silk sheet of a little boy holding a wafer called a "oublie" which he hands to a young girl. She is carrying the drum face on her lap. On the sides, a flute player and a hurdy-gurdy player. The reverse side is painted with three bouquets of flowers, including carnations, in medallions. Ivory* frame finely cut, engraved and gilded. H.t. 27,8 cm-H.f. 12,8 cm (restorations)
