Two large embroidered handkerchiefs, 1st third of the 19th century. In hand-woven linen particularly finely embroidered with various stitches including plumetis and spread threads. One with forest animals in a frame of greenery in each corner, including a resting deer, fox, squirrel, delicate frieze of fine flowers on the border with nine very fine rows in spread threads (good condition, one small hole) A very large double handkerchief or kerchief, embroidered with remarkable dexterity: the reverse side of the embroidery is barely different from the right side. A lion, an erect horse, a fox and a bird with a long curved beak are embroidered, each in a corner. Fringe of flowers on the edge and small festoons embroidered with the threads spread. (good condition, some freckles and pale stains)
