Keel and border in Alençon lace, needlework, circa 1750-70. A long keel and a border with a close decoration finely realized with the needle, undulating garland loaded with flowers and foliage and punctuated with cartouches with various points of which variant of Argentella for the border. Creamy white linen. Dim. keel : 2,95 m x 9,5 cm at the widest. (a few fine repeats in the network and pale freckles for the border, scattered holes in the network for the keel) We enclose a small collar in Alençon and another collar in Alençon lace from the first half of the 18th century with beautiful cartouches decorated with Argentella, the motifs in Alençon reapplied on a cotton tulle in the 19th century (good general condition) as well as a border in Alençon circa 1780-1800 (holes, bleached)
