Two pairs of beards, Mechelen, spindles, circa 1750-60. In linen finely made with spindles, of which a pair of beards with rare weave background, floral motifs and soft cartouches decorated with small motifs or with snowflake fillings, light ivory colour, Dim. 51 cm x 8 cm at the widest (good general condition, seams at the ends, some pale stains) and a pair of butted barbs, undulating frieze, stylized flower branches and cartouches decorated with flowers and the four-leaf clover symbol of the city of Mechelen. Cream-grey colour. Dim. 115 cm x 9 cm at the widest (good condition)
