Pair of embroidered barbs in white, circa 1730-40. Two butted barbs, in cotton muslin of a beautiful finesse entirely embroidered with various stitches of a beautiful floral decoration: flowers in full bloom, graceful foliage and cartouches decorated with many stitches in thread spread very finely embroidered with the needle, the background entirely worked in pulled and spread threads. White/creamy white color. (good condition, few very small accidents, some light stains) See "Embroidered with white" Mrs Heather Toomer, p.55 & 59.
