Collection of 65 satirical posters of the Second Empire, lithographs printed in Paris and published as supplements in certain newspapers such as La Charge, Actualités, L'Éclipse, Actulités Comiques, etc., and marketed by the publishers and booksellers of the time, including Lemaine, Duclaux, Coulboeuf, Kâpé, Noizette, Talon, Duclaux, Saillant, Madre, Grognet, etc. Representing caricatures of Emperor Napoleon III, Emperor Wilhelm I of Prussia, Bismarck, Empress Eugenie, Prince Napoleon, Thiers and some political personalities of the time. Signed in particular by : E. Rosameau, Faustin (Faustin Betbeder (1847-1914)), C. Herluison, Montbard (Georges Montbard (1841-1905)), L. Tobb, Paul Klenck (1844-19 ??), Moloch, etc. Paper prints around 1870-1871. Some folds and foxing, but good condition. Various formats.
