PRESENT OFFERED BY QUEEN VICTORIA TO THE DUKE OF NEMOURS. A large silver tumbler, flared at the top, with embossed and chased decoration of animals surrounded by a frieze of foliage on an amatized background, revealing on one side in the center a coat of arms engraved with the Arms of the House of Orleans. On the back is engraved the inscription: "Silver goblet sent by H.M. Queen Victoria to H.R.H. the Duke of Nemours on December 24, 1886". Good condition. Foreign work from the end of the 19th century. No apparent hallmarks. H. : 12 cm - L. : 9 cm. - Weight : 268 g. Provenance : hunting present offered by Queen Victoria of Great Britain (1819-1901), to Prince Louis d'Orléans, Duke of Nemours (1814-1896), son of Louis-Philippe, king of the French.
