CONSTRUCTION OF THE EGYPTIAN MUSEUM IN CAIRO. Important set of about 82 old photographs, dating from 1897 to 1901, representing the official inauguration of the laying of the foundation stone of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo in the presence of French and Egyptian officials as well as the architect Marcel Dourgon (1858-1911) and the Khedive of Egypt, His Highness Prince Abbas Hilmi II, celebrated on April 1, 1897, as well as the main stages of the construction of this building, the sectional plans of the time, and the views of the Egyptian rooms once they were installed. Prints on albumen and silver paper, some signed Virginio Giuntini, in Cairo. H.: 27,5 cm - W.: 35 cm and various sizes.
