CACHET PENDANT SEAL, FRANCE, 19th CENTURY. Decorated with a woman's head in the antique style carved in a block of agate, topped with a diamond rose holding a rose gold clasp and adorned around the neck with a necklace set with old-cut diamonds. The oval base holds a seal carved with a roman profile wearing a helmet, in a pink gold frame. Wear and tear, but good condition. Probably French work, 19th century. H. : 3,5 cm - L. : 2 cm. Gross weight : 10 g. Reference : see several other models of the same style in the collection of Baron Alexis de Rédé (1922-2004), sold after his death at Sotheby's, on March 17, 2005, under n° 446.
