Rare border and documents, glass beads and spindles, late 19th and early 20th century. Four documents (borders) made of bobbin lace, the lacemaker having threaded seed beads of different colours on the threads before starting her lacework in order to be able to adorn it with different motifs developed during the work. Two with flower motifs and two with butterfly type decoration, cream cotton and glass beads, Dim. 8 to 10 cm. (good general condition) And a later border in cream-coloured cotton and turquoise tubular beads used in the same way as for the documents with seed beads. Dim. 1.55 m x 8 cm (mint condition) We include a jersey knitted doily with seed beads forming a twig pattern with fuchsia flowers, the beads having been threaded before starting the lace making, in the same way as for the five bobbin laces. Dim. 14.5 cm x 9 cm. (good condition, a small stained area)
