Three borders, Punto in Aria, needle, late nineteenth-early twentieth century. Two in cream and light ivory cotton in imitation of the Punto in Aria borders produced in Italy at the beginning of the 17th century. One with alternating patterns of tulip and fritillary upright, each worked symmetrically, border inlaid in a pale yellow silk crepe. Dim. lace: 1.75 m x 11.5 cm (good condition, few loose flanges) the other with repeated motifs of lilies and foliage in symmetry, Dim. 98 cm x 7.5 cm (good condition). We add a third border with foliage decoration in symmetry made with a needle on spindle whorl. Ivory coloured linen. Dim. 1 m x 7 cm. (good condition)
