Two beards, Binche and Brussels, circa 1710-40. One in Brussels lace, circa 1710-20, densely decorated with flowers, palms and flexible cartouches very finely made with bobbins, worked in grid and canvas, the cartouches decorated with a partridge eye stitch of extreme meticulousness. Placed on a black brocaded satin (good condition, rare small spots) A second beard in Binche with very fine bobbins, decorated with feathers and foliage in loose curves, decorated with various stitches including snowflake and partridge eye. Placed on a black satin (good condition, small scattered spots) Linen of great finesse for both, white / creamy white for one, cream for the other.
