Grouse feathers, circa 1870-1880 Grouse or capercaillie feather fan. Brown tortoiseshell frame**. Bracket and tassel of passementerie. The number "L" in gold on the plume, under a royal crown. The figure "L" could be very probably that of the duchess Ludovica (1808-1892), wife of Maximilian duke in Bavaria, mother of Elisabeth of Austria. H.t. 32 cm approx.
