"L. de Bailliencourt", Les plaisirs chantants, circa 1890-1900 Folded fan, the cabretille leaf painted with a river bank sheltering a gallant company listening to a flute player and a singer. Signed on the left "L. de Bailliencourt". Reverse side: figure "MH" in gilded foliage. Signature of the Parisian house "Alexandre". Mother-of-pearl burgau mounting, engraved and gilded with flowers. Bracket. H.t. 35,5 cm - H. f. 23,5 cm (foxing) In its original box covered with silk, numbered "MH". Under the lid, the address of the fan maker Alexandre, 9 rue de Castiglione. N.B. : at the Georges-Petit gallery in Paris in 1911, Miss de Bailliencourt exhibited her miniatures on glass, qualified as "very pretty" by the newspaper "L'Intransigeant".
