Le récit du voyage, ca. 1740-1750 Folded fan, the skin sheet painted on a blue background with a trompe-l'oeil reminiscent of domino decorations. Two lone women in the side panels frame a view of the interior of a palace open to the sea. On the left, a woman in front of a tapestry, perhaps Penelope. On the reverse, Meleager presents Calydon's boar's head to Atalanta. White mother-of-pearl mount cut, engraved and gilded with an original composition of leaves and ribbons with a bouquet of tulips in the centre. Music trophies on the sides.
