The Toilet of Esther, ca. 1760 Folded fan, the leaf in skin, mounted in English style, and painted of a young woman that her servants are preparing under the gaze of a sultan. The composition is based on the work of Jean-François de Troy (1679-1752) "La toilette d'Esther" (1738). Delicate flowery spandrels on the sides. On the reverse, a composition in the Chinese style. Ivory mounting* finely pierced with Hector's farewell to Andromache. H.t. 26 cm-H.f. 13,2 cm (wear of the leaf)
