Diana and Actaeon, early 18th century Folded fan, the leaf in skin, mounted in English, and painted with Actaeon surprising Diana and her nymphs at the bath. Outraged by this intrusion, the goddess turns him into a stag. The hunter's dogs then devour him. Ivory mounting* finely pierced and engraved with dancers.
