The Regent's Entry into Paris, circa 1720 Fan leaf, dismantled, in gouache painted skin. A crowd crowds around a public square to listen to the statements of two heralds brandishing their batons of command. They also wear the blue cordon of the Order of the Holy Spirit. Trumpets and a horse drum accompany the Regent's entrance on horseback in the background. Fragment of a white mother-of-pearl plume baton pierced, carved and engraved on the right. H.f. 11,8 cm Bears a modern label indicating "Entrée du Régent dans la bonne Ville de Paris". In a modern rectangular frame, with gilded rod. 33x 56 cm
