VLASTO Ludmilla, née de Nittey (1899-1989) Set of 14 B&W photographic portraits representing her at various moments of her life in Russia. Attached is a set of correspondence dating from 1938 to 1939, including 2 L.A.S. of Prince Vladimir Leonidovitch Viazemki (1889-1960), 8 L.A.S. of her husband Constantin Vlasto and miscellaneous, 7 miscellaneous C.P.A.S. and 12 C.P.A.S. addressed to Senators and Madame de Timroth, dated from 1920 to 1940. History: As a young girl, Ludmilla was a famous Russian dancer who married Constantine (Kostia) Vlasto (1883-1967), from a Greek banker family living in Romania. During the Balkan War 1912-1913, having his pilot's license, he joined the Greek army at the age of 29 to liberate the land of his ancestors. Then during the First World War, he became a correspondent for the French newspaper Le Temps under the pseudonym of Etienne Labranche.
