HÉLÈNE GUEORGUIEVNA, duchesse de Leuchtenberg, comtesse Stef - Lot 370
HÉLÈNE GUEORGUIEVNA, duchesse de Leuchtenberg, comtesse Stefan Tyszkiewicz, (1892-1971) Autograph letter signed ''Elena'', Paris, February 23, 1926, addressed to her brother, Prince Serge Georgievitch Romanovsky (1890-1974), 4 pages, folio, text in Russian. Good condition. Translation: 'my dear Serge, I envy Sandro [Alexander Georgievich of Leuchtenberg (1881-1942)] and Nadia [wife of the former, born Nadjeda Nicolaïévna Carelli (1893-1964)], who will soon see you. They know rich Americans who can be very useful to you. Is it possible that you might come back with them? That would be wonderful. It's all right, thank God. Stefan [the sender's husband (1894-1976)] has left for Warsaw. Hopefully not for very long. His business is going quite well. Maybe life will get better. I'm in Paris alone and I've started working with clay again. Boubi [daughter of the author of this letter] is very beautiful and intelligent. She doesn't want to learn the alphabet and screams when she sees the book. I think this lady will have character. For sure Marinok has gone to Antibes. I hear that his business with the publisher is getting better. It's time to see the result after so much work. How are your poems and plays? "Your Elena who loves you.
