RZEWUSKI ALEX-CESLAS (1893-1983) Portrait of Lady Iya Abdy (1897-1992). Drypoint enhanced with color and white chalk on old japanese paper, signed lower left in pencil by the artist. Plate taken from the album n° 3 on an edition numbered 10 copies, published in Paris in 1925. Good condition. H.: 36 cm - W.: 28 cm. History: Lady Abdy, was an actress of Russian origin, born Iya Grigorievna de Gay, famous for her beauty, she was the muse of the jeweller Louis Cartier and one of the muses of Jean Cocteau. In 1923, she married Sir Robert Abdy (1896-1976).
