RZEWUSKI ALEX-CESLAS (1893-1983) Portrait of Mrs. John Barrymore, née Blanche Oelrichs (1890-1950). Drypoint enhanced with colour and white chalk on old japanese paper, signed lower left in graphite by the artist. Plate extracted from the album n° 3 on an edition numbered 10 copies, published in Paris in 1925. Good condition. H.: 36 cm - W.: 28 cm. History: Blanche Marie-Louise Oelrichs came from a good family in the east of the United States, she had a real success as an American poetess under the pseudonym of Michael Strange. In 1920 she married actor and silent film star John Barrymore (1882-1942).
