W.: 18 cm, H.: 1.8 cm Gross weight: 71 g Louis Gérard, former Master Jeweller of VAN CLEEF & ARPELS, founded the house M. GERARD in 1968 at 8 avenue Montaigne, in Paris. Nine years later, he is recognized as the largest French exporter of fine jewelry. The aestheticism, the modernity of the lines, the sobriety, the purity, the size, or even the exceptional colour of the severely selected stones, make this enthusiast the world specialist in gemmology. In November 1985, he sold his company to a group of American investors, but continued to work on it until it closed down for good. In September 1988, supported by the many admirers of the house, Louis Gérard reopened at 16 avenue Montaigne, near its original location, under the name Louis Gérard, Joaillier international. It will close its doors for good in December 1991.
