ROYAL ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF WAR. Judgment in absentia to be shot for a deserter during the Seven Years' War (1756-1763). Printed and partly handwritten document, on "De par le Roy" letterhead with the coat of arms of France, established by the council of war of Wesel (Germany), on 6 December 1757, by Colonel de Rochambeau, ordering the shooting of a deserter from the Compagnie d'Osmond in the Régiment de la Manche.
