Lace pins, bobbin lace, early 20th century. Large pin cushion in burgundy velvet with a beautiful composition of lacemaking pins and "love pins", large pins for the Auvergne tiles and which were offered to the lacemaker by her gallant, they were used to hold the scroll of the tile. The steel tip and the head are made of spun glass, about twenty of which are bird-shaped, about forty forget-me-nots, about a hundred leaf-shaped, about three hundred green glass and small white sulphides, and about as many with copper heads from later periods.
