Folded fan, Chantilly with ploughing cherubs, end of the 19th century. The finely made Chantilly lace leaf is decorated with bouquets and garlands of flowers and foliage, where two mirror-like scenes are hidden to the two children, one digging up the earth while the other sows in the wind, small flowers and foliage on the edge. (accidents mainly in the lower part of the leaf) Set in brown flake, mottled* complex silver numeral decorated with small diamonds (small lacks in the master strand, damaged bélière) Mounting height: 30 cm Leaf height: 16,5 cm. * Scale: Specimens made from the scales of marine turtles, Cheloniidae spp (I/A-EC), a so-called pre-Convention specimen prior to 1 June 1947 (EC Rule 338/97 of 9 December 1996 Art. 2 -W mc).
