Two lace handkerchiefs from Brussels, Belgium, late 19th century. One in Duchess of Brussels, floral decoration with flexible cartridge spindles interlocking each of the corners and adorned with a series of roses with detached petals finely realized in needlepoint, CBF numerals in a crown of flowers finely embroidered in linnen. (good condition) And another one with a large frame in Brussels appliqué, garlands of falling flowers and foliage in spindles and a rose in gauze stitch applied on a fine cotton tulle, frieze frame of needle medallions punctuated with large leaves cut in gauze stitch decorated with various stitches, small leaves and flowers cutting the border. (good condition, linnen pinholes) Two handkerchiefs of handmade Brussels lace dating from the end of the 19th century. One of Brussels Duchess with floral motifs of bobbin lace and 3D roses of Point de Gaze, (very good condition) and one in appliqué lace with leaves of bobbin lace applied onto a cotton tulle, and rose motif of Point de Gaze needle lace. (very good condition for the lace, a few pinhole to the cloth)
