Two handkerchiefs in application from England, Belgium, 2nd half of the 19th century. The finely made bobbin patterns are applied on a fine cotton tulle. A very large, undulating garland of large tulips and florets from which rise a supple spray of three tulips for two of the corners and a group of the same florets for the other two corners, cartouches and medallions in a wide frieze festooning the border. (very nice condition) And one with a turning bouquet of palms and flowers in each corner, framed by a narrow frieze of small roses and a wide border of curving foliage richly decorated with supple rivers of small fashion. (très bel état) Two handkerchiefs of handmade Brussels lace dating from the 2nd half of the 19th century. Floral motif finely worked in bobbin lace and applied onto a cotton tulle. (both in a very good condition)
