Two handkerchiefs, Point de Gaze and Point d'Angleterre, Bel - Lot 303
Two handkerchiefs, Point de Gaze and Point d'Angleterre, Belgium, late 19th century. One framed in gauze stitch decorated with a frieze claustra interlaced with flexible stems with lilac leaves, a series of flowers on a short stem at the edge, a composition with three roses in each corner and then running in a garland interlaced with a ribbon along the edge of the linen (very good condition) One framed in English stitch, garland and sprays of flowers and foliage made with spindles, cartridges decorated with needle fashion, network of gauze stitch needle. (très bel état) Two handkerchiefs of handmade Brussels lace dating from the end of the 19th century. One of Point de Gaze with motifs of roses, lilacs flowers and leaves (very good condition) and one of Point d'Angleterre lace with floral motif of bobbin lace grounded with the Point de Gaze needle meshes. (very good condition)
