Two handkerchiefs in Point de Gaze, needle, Belgium, end of the 19th century. A wide border at Point de Gaze, one with a slightly gathered flounce decorated with oval medallions supporting garlands of flowers and falling foliage with blooming roses, petals hemmed with thick embroidery, a frieze of flowers and leaflets around the edge of the linoleum and a large MD number interlaced at Point de Gaze in an angle, the other with medallions and flowering stems. Cream cotton. (very good condition for both) Two handkerchiefs edged with a deep Belgian handmade Point de Gaze needle lace with floral motif, dating from the end of the 19th c. Cotton, cream in colour (very good condition for both)
