Pair of daffodil beards, spindles, Flanders, circa 1740-50. Decorated with loose cartouches adorned with the four-leaf clover, emblem of the city of Mechelen, and flexible branches with large blooming flowers, daffodils, carnations and flowers, well contrasted by a five-hole bottom very finely made with spindles. Light ivory linen, joined by a seam. (bel état) A pair of lappets dating from about 1740-50 adorned with the four-leaf clover, emblem of the city of Mechelen, and flowers in bloom such as daffodils and carnations. Linen thread, ivory colour (very good condition)
