Presentation panel, Venice by the needle, 2nd half of the 17th century. Three flounces in Venetian lace decorated with supple and fine branches adorned with flowers finely worked in relief, the motifs linked by thin ringed and picotted flanges, Dim. 2.55 m x 12 cm, 96 cm + 94 cm x 1.90 m x 5 cm and 87 cm x 8 cm (good condition, a few small stains, bottom amputated, later border festoons) and a doily trimmed in flat-spot Venetian lace with fine twigs and multiple small flowers connected by fine ringed and pitted flanges (good condition, later border festoons) On a purple silk satin (rocket) and in a box "HAYWARD'S Lacemen by Special Appointment to the Royal Families of England, France & Belgian".
