A disassembled linen and finely needleworked geometric patterns well representative of the models of this period illustrated in Matteo Pagano's work "Ornamento delle belle & virtuoso donne". Creamy linen. Dim. 80 cm x 9 cm (good condition, a few small accidents or restorations)
One in linen with white embroidery, animal motifs and stylized crosses reminiscent of certain Coptic motifs including one reminiscent of the swastika. Dim. 63 cm x 11 cm. Cf. catalogue Musée Poldi Pezzoli p.181
We enclose two bands in cut stitch and white embroidery with geometric motifs, Dim. 91 cm x 11.5 cm, Cf. M. Schuette "Alte Spitzen" p.28 pl.14 and 82 cm x 14.5 cm, Cf. M.Abbeg "A propos Patterns" p.63 pl.78, and a document.
Four borders of cutwork dating from the 2nd half of the 16th c, including one similar to the models from the Matteo Pagano "Ornamento delle belle & virtuoso donne" pattern book. Linen.
