Embroidered and lace tablecloth, 1st half of the 20th centur - Lot 30
Embroidered and lace tablecloth, 1st half of the 20th century. Oval shape in fine thread with richelieu type embroidery and needle and bobbin lace inlays. Centrepiece embroidered with supple twigs of leaflets and fine bunches of small berries, punctuated with spindle medallions and well framed by a large rectangle of Point de Paris lace with stylised floral decoration and cartouches with a creeping griffin. The field with embroideries and inlays to the model, circumscribed by a flexible needle lace frieze; hemmed by a Point de Paris lace flounce to the birds. Dim. 2.75 m x 2.15 m at widest (good condition, centre redesigned)
