CHEMINÉE HANGER. Period : Nicolas I (1825-1855). Rectangular, malachite veneer and chased and gilt bronze figuring Cupid and Psyche. Gilt bronze dial, surrounded by a chased frieze of flowers, Roman numerals, steel hands, hourly chimes, on the back of the mechanism appears the repairer's inscription. The lower part is decorated with a frieze of acanthus leaves and oak. Small accidents, but good general condition. Peterhof lapidary workshop or Count Demidoff's mine. H. : 47,5 cm - W. : 30,5 cm - D. : 11,5 cm.
