BRIANCHON Maurice (1899-1979). Harlequin, Araminte's valet in "Les Fausses Confidences" by Marivaux. Gouache and grease pencils on paper, stamped with the artist's signature in the lower right corner. This plate is a preparatory study for the book Les Fausses Confidences, published in Paris by Alfred Daber in 1959, whose illustrations were made by the artist. Slight foxing on the edges. H. : 38,5 cm - L. : 29 cm. Provenance : former collection of the artist's son, sale of his estate, Hôtel des Ventes, Toulon, 7 to 9 April 2013.
