Robin, The Rooster Chantecler, circa 1910 Folded fan, the paper sheet, mounted in English and painted with gouache, of a crowing rooster's head, on a golden background, recalling the rooster of Edmond Rostand's famous play, "Chantecler" performed in 1910. Signed on the right "Robin". Signature of the fan maker Ernest Kees on the reverse. Wooden frame, the strands stamped and gilded. The plume carved and painted with a rooster. Metal hanger.
