Félix Lucot, Parakeets, around 1900 Rare fan of square shape called "handkerchief". The paper leaf is painted. Parakeets or parrots with shimmering plumage are posed on bamboo canes. Signed lower right "F. Lucot", for Félix Lucot (1854-1935). Signed on the back: "Ernest Kees". Wooden mounting, engraved and gilded with flowers. Gilded metal hanger. H.t. 24,5 cm - H.f. 14,7 cm (good condition, wear) N.B. : this fan is illustrated in G. Letourmy, "Kees, éventailliste parisien", Paris, Musée de l'Éventail-Hervé-Hoguet, 2005, p. 7. This type of fan with an original shape is known with "ânes de location" in particular and seems to be exclusive to the Kees house.
