It evokes the rooster played by Lucien Guitry in the famous play by Edmond Rostand, "Chantecler" performed in 1910. Mounted in brown tortoiseshell, the plumes undulating and highlighted with steel spangles. H.t. 27,5 cm - H.f. 19 cm (wear, small accidents, oxidations, restorations) N.B.: the drawing of the rooster is identical to the one proposed by Duvelleroy, around 1900, printed on paper, or painted on silk by A. Thomasse. Thomasse gave the illustrations of the piece for the magazine "Comœdia illustré".
